After a 34 year teaching career I found myself wanting to once again live in the country and raise animals. Alpacas were the animals I chose. It wasn't a hard decision. After seeing my first one I was hooked on them. They are so loveable and gentle. I often describe them as live teddy bears.

I bought my first 12 in 2001 and now have approximately 70 alpacas.

Alpaca Bay Farm can be found in Pownal, Prince Edward Island. It sits on a peninsula between Pownal and Alexandra Bays on the beautiful southeastern coast of the Island. It was my family's dairy farm where we raised purebred Holsteins.
